Orson Scott Card, international award winning
novelist, playwright and local columnist recently stopped by our newest
Kohl's Frozen Custard & Jumbo Burgers, Inc.® location in Greensboro, NC and had some great
things to say about his visit!
Card
is currently working alongside writers from the
Warner Brothers hit X-Men 2 on the new screenplay from his
book Ender's Game, which is slated for direction by Wolfgang Petersen
(Troy, The Perfect Storm, Air Force One). Nobody had ever won the Hugo and Nebula awards
for best novel two years in a row, until Card received them for Ender's
Game and its sequel, Speaker for the Dead.
Card
also writes the column Uncle Orson Reviews Everything for The Rhinoceros
Times, a local paper in Greensboro, NC. In a recent
column, Card was praising his visit to Kohl's with comments like "Kohl's Frozen Custard is worth going to for dessert alone" and "...we also discovered
that Kohl's makes a great hamburger and good fries."
Kohl's
opened its newest location in Greensboro just after Labor Day. The
owners say that business has been very good and increasing every
day. All Kohl's restaurants specialize in offering a great meal and
dessert at a price the average family can afford, they take great
pride in searching out the best possible food products, serving them
fresh and making them available in a casual and fun atmosphere.
Their frozen custard is a special recipe that is made fresh every
day and they offer a vast array of different shakes, malts, sundae's
and custard concoctions.
We
are sure glad that Mr. Card enjoyed his visit to Kohl's and hope he
has many opportunities to return in the future. We also hope he
tells all of his friends around the country that they will soon be
able to buy our delicious custard right from the Kohl's web site!
We
hope to see all of you at a Kohl's Frozen Custard & Jumbo Burgers, Inc.®,
and when you come, keep the words of Orson Scott Card
in mind, "...this is one place where you sure don't want to
let dinner spoil your dessert." Thanks Mr. Card! |
